Come on in! Come to Pizzo!.  It will be worth it ..but don't just believe me.  Just have a look at the photo and ..........
We usually fly into Naples with Aer Lingus or to Rome, which has more choice, but is further away.  We then travel by train direct to Vibo Valentia/Pizzo station.  A taxi or a 10 minute lift from friends brings us to Pizzo itself.  There is a nearby airport in Lamezia which would be very convenient but there are no flights from Ireland to it but London Stanstead did operate one.  Also one could fly to other airports such as Milan or Bologna in Italy and then fly to Lamezia.  Flights to Naples are only available in holiday season and end in October.  We hope there will soon be one direct to Lamezia from Ireland but it is not looking good for now.  Give yourself about an hour after exiting airport to get to  the train station.  There is a bus  stop for an "Alibus" opposite the entrance to the arrivals terminus. which takes you to Piazza Garibaldi for the train.  Check train times on "trenitalia" website.  The autostrada is also an option and Pizzo is just off it....after a 4-5 hour drive maybe.

Map to help you get to Pizzo .. we usually fly to Naples and get the train there..

MORE REASONS TO GO TO PIZZO .............. NO, NOT ALAN .. HE'S SPOKEN FOR ......

I just couldn't resist showing you more photos.  You could go sailing, boating, fishing or just jump in and  cool down if you knew Alan and myself or just "pay the ferryman".  Join the gang ( Alan, Mark and Claire, Alan's wife ) at a house party, which we have regularly.   Maybe you would prefer to relax and watch the sea roll in and out, or get in and shake it all about?  How about a vist it to Piedigrotta, the church carved out of a cliff and where all the statues are also carved from the local stone.  Getting there?  ..you know it makes sense.  Ask that nice Mr O'Leary of Ryanair to start flight from Ireland to Lamezia, if you can get to him.
